As our mom grew older, she started experiencing serious health issues. It was very difficult watching her go through all of it; especially when she developed an allergic reaction to the personal care products she has been using regularly. It was decided one course of action would be to eliminate all personal care items that contained chemicals/synthetics from her routine, and replace them with all natural personal care products. Unfortunately, switching to all natural products proved to be very costly for us; however, it needed to be done. 

Out of necessity we turned to the internet in search of less costly, all natural skin care products for our mom. During one of those searches we came across the website of a school who was offering diploma and certification courses in formulating and making natural skincare products! Hello! 

Without hesitation we decided to take the certification course, not expecting anything but simply to learn how to formulate skincare products that would be beneficial to and for our mom. After receiving our certification, we researched natural oils – essential and carrier – botanical extracts, and butters that was best suited for maturing and/or damaged skin. We then began making our own lotions, moisturizers and shower gels. We loved the process so much we decided to go deeper and do the diploma course, as well as the serum formulation course. 

Over the weeks of using the products we made, we saw a gradual change in our mom’s skin. It got healthier looking, more toned, smoother and younger looking. We loved what we were seeing so much we got a little jealous and began using the products ourselves! When family members and friends noticed the changes in our skin, we started getting requests for our products. 

At the same time, our daughter who was born with eczema developed a resistance to the products we’ve been using on her since she was a baby. Each time she would break out we would find new ways of bringing it under control without medication. With our newly learned skills we researched the best oils, butters and botanicals for eczema, and created a body butter for her. Within days of using the butter we saw a mark difference in her skin; it wasn’t itchy or as cracked as it used to be, and within a week her skin was smoothing out.  

And so, because of the difference and the remarkable changes produced by the products we made, not only for our family, but also for our friends as well, Virginia’s Natural Skincare, LLC was born. The one thing we wished we have done differently was documented, in picture form, the changes as they occurred; but we had no idea, or thoughts, of selling our products at the time. However, thankfully, here we are.

All of our products are made with pure, 100% natural raw materials certified by the suppliers we use. It is very important to us that the raw materials that go into making our products are natural, non-GMO, non-animal tested, and eco-friendly; as are the packaging we use. 

Watching our mom’s journey with health issues and wanting so desperately to make things better for her, we understand how important it is for us, as women, to take better care of ourselves regardless of what our life’s experiences are. Producing products that will assist in doing just that, naturally, is the reason Virginia’s Natural Skincare LLC came into existence.
